GIFT TO MIDDLE CLASS

The middle class never thought that after a few days, they would be able to install solar plants on the roof or open space inside the house, now that day is not far away.

The cost of installing solar plant is the lowest in India in the world and it has become cheaper to install solar plant. The Government of India is going to provide 40% Central Finance Assistance (CFA) for installing solar plants from 1 KW to 3 KW. Above 3 KW and 10 KW are going to give 20 percent CFA, this CFA is limited to 10 KW. The CFA is also applicable to group housing societies and residential welfare associations, which will not be described here.

You will consume the electricity generated by solar plant. If your consumption is less than the power produced by the solar plant, then Discom will purchase it. For this a net meter will be installed which will tell how much power you drawn from the Discom and how much power you delivered to Discom. Net metering means that maintains account (incoming and outgoing).

Due to the low per unit power rate on households, the government is offering CFA. The government is not giving CFA to Institutional, Social, Government and Commercial and Industries because they have higher electricity rates. Government approves installation of solar plants at 80% of the connected load.

To install a solar plant, the following things are required: -

1.        The South Facing (Dakshinamukhi) should be free of shade on the roof or inside the house in which you want to install solar plants.

2.        Your electricity connection should be from Discom / Private Agency.

3.        10 sqm for 1 kw, 20 sqm for 2 KW and 30 sqm space for 3 KW are required.

BENEFITS OF APPLYING SOLAR PLANT

1.        If you are not consuming the electricity generated from the solar plant, then Discom will purchase it.

2.        Discom power system will improve and it will become mandatory to provide electricity during the day.

3.        Solar plant increases the valuation of the house.

4.        Pollution will be greatly reduced after the solar plant are installed.

5.        Employment opportunities will increase in the country.

6.        Entrepreneurship will develop in the country.

Conclusion: - The government should give a low interest loan at the remaining cost after CFA.  Sanction should be given for installation of solar plant 100% of connected load.
